I love this storyline teaser. Inside Soap magazine tell us that Kirk is going to move in with Norris!
After Kirk overhears Beth talking about him and calling him thick, he takes the huff, as you'd expect, and moves out. He's deeply offended over Beth's comments and ends up lodging at No. 3 with Norris.
Since Emily went to Peru, Norris has been a bit lonely and welcomes Kirk in with open arms. The two fellas even strike up an unlikely friendship over their shared love of board games, including chess and Boggle.
I really do like the sound of this and hope it plays out well. Of course, Beth and Kirk have to get back together but it sounds fun and something nice and subtle to look forward to.

Kirk can't be that thick if he can play chess!
I remember when Norris moved in with Kirk and Les after Emily threw him out over his suspicions of Richard Hillman murdering Maxine and almost doing the same to her and they were hilarious!
Needless to say I'm looking forward to this storyline too! Finally humor for a change!
Sounds great. I'd thought that maybe Craig would be the one to pal up with Norris over a shared love of chess but Kirk will be just as good. There have to be some teething problems but eventually they will bring out the best in each other. I could even see Roy joining in. Love the idea that Kirk will have a storyline away from Beth. About time, too!
Gemma! Move Gemma in with Norris! That would be AMAZING.
This could be the start of Norris becoming the person with the most lodgers in the ever-expanding rooms. Norris might realize it helps him to have company and to pay the bills. He could perhaps turn over some sort of new leaf by becoming more human through his interaction with his lodgers.
The truly odd couple.
Kirk and Norris together are comedy genius! Well done writers!
Much scope for humour here and I do hope they make Norris nicer. He's shown sensitivity in the past with both Rita and Emily and it's boring if he's nasty all the time. I love Kirk, and Beth is much improved since they got together, so I hope they soon make up. But Kirk playing chess?! No way, unless it's Norris trying to teach him.
Yes! Anything to have more Kirk-eh on our screens. Andrew Whyment's deadpan comedy delivery is stellar, as well as Kirk's soft side. A welcome relief from the more macho and dysfunctional males on the Street.
kirk is too stupid a character to be believable
