We
are looking for an experienced Head of Make Up to lead our team of Make
Up Supervisors, Assistants and Artists here on Coronation Street.
As
our Head of Make Up you will liaise with the Producer to discuss the
‘look’ of new artists and established character image changes when
necessary. You will break down scripts at each stage of production
collaborating with other departments to ensure the appropriate “look” of
all artists.
You will provide direction, leadership and support the development of our team of Make Up Supervisors, Assistants and Artists, made up of staff and freelance personnel. Whilst also being responsible for the departmental budget, stock and overall management of the Make Up room.
As
our Head of Make Up you will have strong leadership skills with
previous experience managing a Make Up team. You will have excellent TV
Production knowledge and be self-motivated and flexible in your
approach. You will communicate effectively with artistes, maintaining
complete discretion with a creative and artistic flair. You will be
forward thinking in your approach to problem solving and have previous
knowledge of special effects make up.
A driving licence or alternative method of transport is essential.
