According to Inside Soap (via Digital Spy), Grishma and Upma will be returning to the cobbles for a stint next month. Apparently they will plan to cause trouble for Dev and Sunita, what trouble could they cause?
Also, a friend of Izzy's, named Will will be appearing on our screens soon. Izzy and Will will start to catch up on old times, which makes Gary wary of his presence, hopefully we will see the PTSD return, as that storyline seemed to fade into the background.

Glad to hear this, at least they're giving the Alahans something to do. They've been slowly fading into the background, I was beginning to suspect they'd become the Peacocks Mark II.
I'm glad they are coming back as they were quite funny. Even though didn't one of them (left hand side) play DEV'S aunt in the past and the other (right) play his mother?
Haha, I think you're right John M :)
Both of them have played different members of Dev's family in the past... and I'm sure the actor who was once Dev's father came back to play Dev's golfing partner a couple of years ago
:s
I didnt find them funny one single bit, they were so boring and dreery. Ugh
I cant believe this ridiculous characters are coming back. Craig we were all HOPING that the dire and staler than last week's bread Alahans were indeed going to become Peacocks Mk II and DISAPPEAR. I cannot bear to watch Jimmi Harkishan's appalling acting.
Do you lot give anyone a chance? We have no idea what they are going to be doing, how long they will be staying. It is so dull how people on here just moan about the street when its meant to be your favourite show. If its not why do you bother visiting the blog. Give the street a chance and stop trying to second guess all the time.
@ Anonymous No.3....Personally, and speaking from past experience of these two characters, I didn't like them then and I doubt I'll like them now. Totally unnecessary additions IMO - if the writers can't think of any better storylines for the Alahans, they should get rid.
PS Next thing you know, they'll be bringing back the dreadful Uncle Umed - urrgh!
Great news to hear the Aunties are coming back.........now get them over to Roy's Rolls and some hilarious interaction with Sylvie!
Ohh. Yeah!! Aunties versus Sylvie one-liner death match. That would be great! If only Dev can find a better way to deliver his lines than through those pursed kissy lips he puts on.
One of them turns out to be a lesbian who gave up Sunita for adoption. When they arrive on the street the short one sabotages Devs shop and a shelf falls on him leaving him in danger of losing his life. He goes to hospital, wears a sling for a week and then forgets all about it. Whilst all this is happening the tall one snatches the alahan children and tries to sell them to Becky. It all goes wrong and Becky goes on a bender smashing up the street. To compensate for all this drama though there are some short scenes involving Mary and Norris working undercover trying to expose the aunties as petty jewel thieves. Thats the summer sorted then.
Hilarious Anon! Summer sorted indeed!! Well done.
Let's hope during their absence from the show they took some acting lessons because they were just horrible the last time...
Why are they back, they were absolute crap.
More PC being PC ?
