After not knowing what to do with the character of Natasha for the first year and a half she was on the show, she's front and center now in a relationship with Nick Tilsley that's going to blow up spectacularly. This is going to lead eventually to the departure of actress Rachel Leskovac in the fall. The latest rumour/spoiler has Natasha getting pregnant just as Nick is about to tell her she's dumped!
If it plays out as the news article is saying, he tells her it's finished on the day she is going to tell him about the pregnancy and he utterly rejects her, assuming it's a trick to keep him. Obviously, Natasha is heartbroken and she feels she has no choice but to get an abortion. Nick must be feeling very deja vu, don't you think? The Sun repeats the rumour that Natasha will end up committing suicide in the wake of all this but producer Phil Collinson has also said that we shouldn't believe everything we read in the papers.
In my world, I would like her to change her mind about the termination and do a Lucy Barlow, leaving Nick knowing he's got a child out there somewhere that he will never know. ITV are promising us a big, dramatic exit for Natasha so who knows what's actually going to happen at this point? Stay tuned!

Isnt this the second time Nick's child has been aborted? Leanne having an abortion at his insistence. I dont like this one bit.
That plus Tina aborted David's baby and Sarah was a teen mom. Uh, how many times did Gail forget to have an important conversation with her kids?
No, there has to be a better plot. 3 times in one family is too much.
You're right you two; pity the writer's don't have such long memories, or don't think viewers do.
Also please refresh my memory; who is Lucy Barlow?
Lucy is Simon's mom. Peter married her and Shelly both. Lucy left with the baby but died off screen of cancer and now Peter is raising Simon.
Ah yes, thank you Tvor.
I've watched Corrie, on and off, for yonks, and seemed to have missed all but the actual meeting between Peter and Lucy.
The bigamy storyline was good - I well remember Shelley landing a hefty punch on Peter's jaw. I don't like what's happened to Natasha's character, at all - she's gone from being confident & sparky to Nix doormat.
Fertile lot those Tisley/Platt/MacIntyre's.
this would have been gails 5th child were did the safety talk run off too??? i fell gor natasha thought!
Natasha will be missed. She was never ditsy, but obviously very sensitive and desperate to be loved. Unlike David's nasty perspective of her as he scorned her need to be a part of something; a family, a business. She makes Gail look quite small, petty and ugly, leaving me disliking the Platt/McIntyre clan thoroughly. Is it any wonder only murderers and mental defectives emanate towards them?
