Ashley Peacock, loser?
I was looking at the spoilers, as you do, and reading about Ashley and Claire's upcoming crisis. Claire's about to have a miscarriage after suffering a blood clot. That old black dog, depression, kicks in again, fuelled by the guilt she feels that she didn't want to be pregnant anyway, and she's left on the top of the hospital, upset and suicidal. Of course Ashley manages to talk her down. The spoilers don't say that, but you know that's what will happen. But how much can one man take? If Eileen is a love loser, is Ashley a life loser? Every time he does manage to find something good, something really horrible happens. You can read more about it over here.

I am sorry to say it and some will disagree but Ashley and Claire seem to have spare part status now. Clare just seems to "pop up" unexpectely all of a sudden after not being seen for months and then disappear again. I dont really care about the character and am not interested in this new "suicide" storyline. They should both be written out to stay with her mum in Cheshire.
Hmmm... A word on Spoilers -

Didn't know about the miscarriage. Didn't know about the depression, nor the guilt.
- I do wish in releasing the big storyline spoilers that Granada could surpise us, by not releasing details of secondary storylines, that appear at the same time.
I don't catch every single episode of Corrie these days, but reading the spoilers means I miss nothing anyway. A lot of the spoilers are so good, so descriptive, that when watching the episode concerned, be it a murder or whatever, I'm comparing spoiler accuracy to actual transmissions rather than, "What on earth will she or he do now?"
- And with that, a lot of the enjoyment goes straight out the window.
The genie's well and truly out of the bottle - all soaps will never trim back on their forthcoming media release spoilers, so how can I start to tune back in to catching Corrie on a regular basis? Because for some years now, whenever a favourite soap is on opposite a one-off special drama or whatever on another channel - it's no contest; the soap gets ditched and I watch whatever has caught my interest, secure in the knowledge that the spoilers have left nothing, absolutely nothing, out - I don't even bother to make the effort to pre-record, because the spoilers are that accurate.
There are legions of magazines in which a veritable industry has sprung up, devoted to forthcoming soap storyline/spoilers, so there's no going back. I'm not complaining about soap spoilers per se, it's the same when I go to the cinema to see a 'new' film - I've usually done so much research on a particular film that I'm mentally mouthing the characters lines as they speak them, even though the film is a 'new release' - all down to the spoilers; which I have SOUGHT out.
Spoilers: Can't live without 'em - can't live with them!
The spoiler about Claire's baby and suicide attempt has been out in the media for about a month nearly. I've been following spoilers for so long now i won't ever be able to stop lol! I don't find it spoils the show for me, knowing what's going to happen because it always plays out well (or not if it's a storyline i don't like, but that's just the way it is. You don't like all the storylines all the time).
