Conversation Street Podcast Episode #545

On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 17th and the 21st October in the UK (Episodes #10771 - 10776)

This week's Street Talk starts off with something a bit different as we discuss a scene we saw filmed back in August starring Dee-Dee and the Platts that never ended up being broadcast. How's THAT for behind the scenes goss? After that, we return to our usual discussion of the week's episodes, and we're not exactly the biggest Summer and Aaron fans, but if you are, good news! This week, Weatherfield's drippiest couple are back on again after Summer discovers she's up the duff. Never mind the baby - can we abort this storyline please? Fortunately for us, we pretty much enjoyed everything else that went on this week, including the return of Harvey as Leanne visits him in jail, the continuation of the bonkers but brilliant adventures of Bernie and Fern, and the return of Stephen to our screens after a few weeks off. With Gabrielle demanding her money and Jenny and Teddy starting to worry about what's happened to Leo, surely it's only a matter of time before Stephen cracks and starts throwing bins around again...

Next up on the podcast, we head over to The Kabin to see how Corrie fared in this week's Inside Soap Awards and celebrate the news that ex-Corrie cast member (and friend of the podcast!) George Banks has landed himself an exciting new role in the West End.  After a bit of a bumper feedback section, we round off the podcast with a Kabin Extra, where we discuss some exciting news that broke this week about a storyline that's going to hit our screens in about a month's time.

He was the first Bailey to make an appearance on the cobbles back in 2019, and now, just over three years later, he's become the first to leave. His time on the Street has seen him involved in stories that got viewers thinking about racism and homophobia, but was James ever anything more than just an 'issues' character?  Decide for yourself as we run down all his most memorable moments in this character profile.
