Voting is now open in the TV Choice Awards 2019. And Coronation Street have been nominated in four categories, as follows:
- Best Soap Actor: Jack P Shepherd (David Platt)
- Best Soap Actress: Alison King (Carla Connor)
- Best Soap Newcomer: Maureen Lipman (Evelyn Plummer)
- Best Soap: Coronation Street
Voting is open until July 5 and the winners will be announced on stage at The London Hilton on Park Lane on the evening of Monday 9 September.

Corrie has slipped in my estimation. While there have been some worthwhile perfomances (and let's face it, not much to work with) the writing has been lousy.
Lack of continuity...skipping all over the place..I could go on..sorry corrie..you ain't the bomb anymore!
Agreed. I am not going to vote for Corrie. Soz.
Nor me. It doesn't deserve an award. I feel sorry for the few good actors doing their best, Jack Shepherd for one. Some of the others just phoning in performances. I hope the results of the awards act as a wake up call to producer and writers.
I stopped voting for Corrie a long while ago. So very disappointed at how my life-long favourite soap has turned out. Totally unwatchable now.
PS Now if you could vote for Classic Corrie, that would be a different kettle of fish!
