Eileen Derbyshire, who plays Emily Bishop, may be away from our screens at the moment but she is never far away from Corrie fans' thoughts. And one of those fans was Martyn Hett, who died this week in the Manchester bomb attack.
On the afternoon of the day that Martyn died, he sent a tweet to Eileen Derbyshire's son, Oliver Holt. Oliver is the Chief Sports Writer with the Daily Mail. The tweet from Martyn included this picture above showing Oliver as a boy with his mum.

I read the article, you're right that it's beautiful.
That Martyn took the trouble to tweet that family picture to Eileen's son tells you everything you need to know about the sort of person he was. That was such a kind and considerate thing to do.
I really didn't know Oliver Holt was Eileen Derbyshire's son. I was surprised when I read that. He is one of the few eloquent, objective, and valid sports reporters we have in this country. He is a credit to his mum as this lovely article shows
