Les Dennis has signed to Coronation Street for another year, the actor said today on live TV.
Les, who plays Michael Rodwell, was interviewed on This Morning along with Oliver Farnworth, who plays Andy. Les confirmed that he's signed up to Corrie for another 12 months.
Les and Oliver are currently on a Corrie break to star in a stage show in Liverpool. You can read more on that here.
On leaving Corrie for his break, he says this about his on-screen character: "Michael kind of disappears in the next few weeks because he's going to Brighton while Les is going to do a play!"

wonderful news - I was under the impression that he was one that would leave for good - Yeah - I always liked him and I'm glad he is staying around for at least another year, a breath of fresh air on set, although he might be better off on his own rather than with Eileen.
Oh good, if he sticks around then there's hope of a reconciliation with Gail!
Why? Pointless character in my view.
Whyyyy?
Not happy to hear this. :/
I'm glad to hear that because at the moment, his story has way too many loose ends. I like his character, but feel the writers dropped the ball on the story with Gail and focused too much on nasty Callum instead. Are they even divorced yet?
Why??? I find him a pointless incredibly annoying, boring character. No offence to the actor but I simply cannot stand the character.
Glad to hear this....'hopefully' a happy reunion with his 'wife' upon his return to the cobbles..... Gail needs her husband back to enjoy the new granny suite with !!
I too hate this pointless character. He is boring, annoying and whiney the women(Gail & Eileen) must be desperate. Get rid, let him die already so we don't have to fear his return ever.
Ha
Hahaha
Hahaha
Ha
Utterly pointless character, him with both Eileen and Gail is like watching paint dry.
