He played the part of Len Sheldon, the birthday boy for whom Michelle was arranging a geriatric hoe-down.

As the Ho Down was not particulaly funny and pretty pointless, Frosty is hoping it was a reason to bring Ronald Pickup in as a character, even for a short time. Him chewing the fat in the Rovers would be great stuff indeedy.
Great cameo...but so odd that it wasn't promoted beforehand. This is an actor who worked with Olivier...and is instantly recognisable, even if you don't know who he is
