Other than a dark complexion looking really good in a tangerine coloured dress, where is Katy, single mom-living-with-broke-dad supposed to have gotten the money for this, just to wear to the local eatery?
For that matter, I didn't realize Chesney was that well off either, and being of a cautious nature, shouldn't be inclined to splash out...
Kardashian collection? Well, that explains a lot. Tacky is as tacky does.
Nice that the young women of Weatherfield look up to the Kardashians. What does that say about them?
An article in "The Guardian" reports that a C.S. spokesman said that " All aspects of their lifestyle, culture and religion has been researched" so maybe Kal himself isn't a practicing Muslim, I should hope not anyway, but perhaps his Mother or other as yet unknown family members are; therefore creating "Conflict".
I can't help but compare Kal, as we know him, to the Masoods of EE. That family was adherent to their religion and culture, which made it interesting as well as informative.
Hopefully that will prove to be the case when the family arrives.
So about the dress!
That it has a Kardasian label says it all tacky & nasty. But at £55 hardly cheap! With Izzy stealing to buy beans & the rest of the family stressing over money this is lazy & stupid writing.
If you are thinking of buying this dress - don't!! It is horrible!!
I think the dress could look OK on someone tall and tanned but this story really is rubbish with Katy quaffing a large glass of wine in the expensive Bistro while Anna and Owen whine and whinge about having no money. As for the embarrassing Kal, Frosty that long said that on the face of it it was a good idea to get a Muslim family in but no research has been done and he has already turned into the serial shagger like every other bloke, yes it is disrespectful and quite insulting. His wife was called Shamilla and no way would he be chasing a rough old doris like Leanne, the wife of his client. Bah!
