It's Friday again so it's time for this week's fab Coronation Street
photo. Llifon posted a blog the other day about the characters standing around in the Rovers talking about nothing that would develop any plot lines. It's the sort of thing that used to happen a fair bit but nowadays the best we can hope for is a bit of nonsense in the cab office between Steve, Lloyd and Eileen. Here's something else that we rarely see these days: the Rovers' regulars taking part in some sort of meaningless sporting event, usually against The Flying Horse.
Can you identify all the tug-of-war team? I'm stumped by the penultimate tugger.

Not living in Britain I have to ask, would inhabitants of a street that had a local on it do this kind of thing these day?
I too used to love to see light-hearted fun the residents had with one another in the earlier episodes.
If the show today is a reflection of what life is like for the majority of people today, then it's a shame that kind of camaraderie is gone.
What passes for 'fun' these days, I wonder?
