Introducing the St Ella Drinking Game!
Now this is in no way encouraging beige, sorry binge drinking amongst the Corrie ranks (or should that be Corrie massive?) I just needed to come up with a fun way to sit through the current tedium that is Coronation Street.
Is it just me or does Stella appear in every scene ITV broadcasts of Coronation Street at the moment? I know the Rovers Landlady is traditionally a pivotal role in the Street. Both Annie Walker and Bet Lynch featured prominently throughout their tenures in the Rovers Return. The big difference for me though is that both the aforementioned characters were immensely likeable and well drawn. Unfortunately for me, the similarities end with them all being Landladies of the Rovers Return.
I am trying to be fairly lighthearted about this, but honestly, I am waiting for Stella to pop up through a manhole cover on the cobbles. At the moment the woman features even more often than the bleedin' Bistro. By the way, how can everyone manage to eat there practically every night?! Does nobody live on a budget? Is it the only restaurant in Weatherfield? After a huge bust up with Leanne, where do Stella, Karl and Gloria go for a plate of spag bol and a bottle of cheap Chianti? Where else but Nick and LEANNE'S Bistro. When Peter and Carla have a huge row about Leanne, where do they go for a bucket of Pinot Noir and a fizzy water? Nick and LEANNE'S Bistro.
It's all more than a little ludicrous.
Anyway, back to my little game. Every time Beige Stella appears on screen, pour yourself a wee drinkette. It doesn't matter what your tipple is, be it gin like Audrey, vodka like Rita or a pint of snakebite like Becky.
Before long, you'll have forgotten St Ella ever existed in the first place. As the Meercats would say, simples!

I love your game! You're right on when saying that St.ella monopolizes the storyline continuously. If they want to make her star of the show, then let her get her own series so she'll be off the air in no time flat for lack of viewership!
Great idea! Let's see, beige...
Beige Blindfold Cocktail
1. 3 Parts Gin
2. 1 Part Cognac
3. 1 Part Triple Sec
4. 1 Part Lemon Juice
Mixed together creates a lovely beige colour.
Irish Cream in a clear glass.
Irish Cream again -- depending on how much you add to your coffee, a palette of beige colours.
I'll keep thinking...
I'm impressed!!
How about 'Oatmeal Cookie' cocktail. Oatmeal is BEIGE. Equal parts Irish Cream, Goldschlager and Butterscotch Schnapps. There is another cocktail called 'Corpse Reviver'....we'll need litres of that because all of us will be comatose soon from watching the Beige One in EVERY SCENE!!!
I'd go broke in a week!
Here's another one. Asked around, and told about this one:
Beige Russian
1 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Tia Maria
Chocolate Milk
I've not tried it, but sounds like it's probably a little too close to brown which is more colour than StElla.
Not only could this game lead quickly to inebriation, but doing this for each episode could result in carpal tunnel syndrome from the repeated glass lifting.
Won't do much for your liver either
I think when she comes on screen, you mix one part water with one part water, swirl it round in a dirty old glass, sip, gargle and spit.
Yep the St Ella drinking game - constantly going out for drinks and ordering "large ones", your jobless boyfriend swigging beer out of cans - yet you have no money to pay workmen to feed their families and pay their rent - DAH!
LOL Flaming Nora...perfect drink for watching the Beige one! Did you notice she was in white and beige AGAIN on the Wed epi? Her hair, face, lipstick, clothes are ALL beige or off-white...colorless like the woman.
