Elize du Toit, who played Izzy Davies in Hollyoaks, will be turning up in Coronation Street as Doctor Carter's old flame, Jenny Eclaire.
The People reports that "sparks fly" when Jenny turns up on a double-date with Tina and Matt – minus her boyfriend.
Things then go from bad to worse when Matt and Jenny start laughing about old times together. Tina is distraught when she finds out they had been an item and slept together. The row gets out of control when Matt criticises Tina’s scruffy dress sense. She ends up pouring a pint over his head and dumping the GP.
South African born Elize moved to England in 1994 and left school with four As at A Level. After university she spent four years in Hollyoaks and has since appeared in The Bill, Casualty and Waking the Dead.
Elize's official website is here.

Sounds pretty dull actually. I don't think the good doctor is long for our screens. He's never been more than a spare part and they never gave him anything to do.
Jenny Eclaire? Have they never heard of the comedienne of the same name?
I haven't?
Jenny Eclair, comedienne with black rimmed glasses, very popular in the alternative eighties. Still around and I like her. If this is an oversight on Corrie's part, she'll be laughing her socks off - think of the publicity! Just shows TPTB live in a different world! Quick phone call to her agent and a re-write to make it look intentional.
How on earth could they use Jenny Eclair's name without her say so? She's still on TV programmes herself (and very funny).
They had better make her Jenny Doughnut - the character would fit right in to the Weatherfield nutritional black hole then.
Because comedienne and Grumpy Old Woman Jenny Eclaire has not, and cannot, copyright her name. There are bound to be a few Ken Barlows or Audrey Robertses out there in real life, and I personally know a Steve McDonald.
Sounds a very boring story to me. Will give sourpuss Tina a chance to be nasty to yet another person - double yawns all round. Shame about the doc, another good character wasted.
I think the doc is boring, nothing but a 'pretty face', don't like Tina, think she and the 'doc' have about as much on-screen charisma as Tina and Graeme, which is not saying much.
Hopefully, hope he slips away as easily as he arrived.
URGH!!! she doesn't look as if she has woken up from the dead yet!
Mrs Eclaire (her mother): 'Are you staying in tonight dear and watching the telly'?
Jenny Eclaire: 'Maybe I might mother for a change, but first I think I'll put my shoes on and 'pop-out' for half an hour'.
