Tonight kicked off a dramatic week on the cobbles, as Fiz stumbled into possibly the most nightmarish scene possible - her husband sat next to a body wrapped up in his grandmother's carpet! [See what Jennie McAlpine (Fiz) thinks of all this here]
Steve finally had enough of Becky and went out and got drunk and decided to go to gamble all his money away at the local Casino, until Dev stopped him doing something he'd regret. Back on the street, Dev talked some sense into Steve, who then proceeded to tip the Social Services about Max's living arrangements!

Quite a sharp turnaround from Fiz from the factory shock to telling John to go and sort it. After months and months of her nearly finding out it was a shame that the revelation was so brief, unspectacular and dare I say it unrealistic- Micky
It did seem odd, but i think it was shock more than anything
shock, denial, and some guilt and the denial of her part in this whole thing... too horrible to take in so Fizz out of survival mode resorts to "compartmentalizing" the shock into manageable bits...
It's that or just more poor writing...
I thought the episode was awful tonight and for the first time in a long time I nearly had to switch over half way. It emcompssed all the terrible stories in one episode, the so tiresome John debacle which has dragged on forever and a day, the trumped up Becky and Maxay borefest, pointless Dev with his head wobbling and Steve gambling away money that he does have, why doent you pay Lloyd bank first instead of wallowing in it constanly MacGurn?. Interesting to see how the aunties are gonna fit in to the two up two down the Alahans now live in and whether its even mentioned they have moved,. Bring back Uncle Umed Frosty says!
I suppose the Aunties could stay in Curly's loft! I don't think they're there for good, just another visit. I'm sure they'll have something to say about the reduced circumstances, though. I liked them but only in small doses. I grew to like Umed too, he was a daft thing but again, only in small doses.
I reckon Fiz decided to cover for John because she knows that she herself could be seen as being just as guilty as John
