One of our bloggers, Diane Johnson lives in Canada and blogs here as Tvor. Here, she shares her Coronation Street memories with fans.
"I've been lucky enough to live in Halifax, home of the man who had a dream of bringing the Street to Halifax. Mike Shacklock made his dream come true and Halifax has been lucky to see many Corrie stars visit over the last 8 years. The first Corrie couple I met was Jenny James who played Geena Gregory and Lee Boardman who played the evil Jez Quigley! Most recently, we hosted Sam Aston (Chesney) at a ping (Corrie get together). I've got the 40th anniversary book and have been using that for all my autographs though now that the 50th anniversary book is out, I may have to shift any future autographs to that!
My first visit to the Granada Studios set was in September 2000 with a large group of Internet friends who all gathered for a week of activities. The outside set visit was the highlight and it was magic walking onto the cobbles for the first time! Since then, I've been lucky enough to be on the cobbles two more times, including one private visit with a friend where we got to go inside the studios and see the sets and have pictures taken behind the bar of the Rovers! That was pretty cool, too! Most recently, I visited in May of 2010 with another group of Corrie mates and we got to meet Andy Whyment!
The other really interesting memory involved taking part in a documentary about Canadian Corrie fans that will be aired on CBC television on December 9. It's called Corrie Crazy. I met my fiance Graham in a Corrie chat room and the people making the documentary thought this would be an interesting story to be one featured on the show. We were both interviewed so it will be interesting to see how much of it makes it to the screen!"

Great picture Diane - will we be able to see the documentary over here?
I don't know if it will be shown there. You might be able to download it somewhere though.
Congratulations Diane, I will look forward to seeing the documentary in Vancouver.
I love how you and Graham met in a Corrie chat room. Looking forward to seeing you both on Corrie Crazy.
