The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street and Cathy fancies a change of career. She decides that she would like to open a shop and she and Brian decide they want to open a hardware store.
As they look at some empty shop premises Brian’s incensed to hear that Daniel and Sinead have gazumped them over the shop. Cathy promises to try and talk them out of it but when Sinead describes her vision of a vintage clothes shop, Cathy can’t help but be swept up by her enthusiasm and agrees that she deserves the unit.
Brian’s furious, revealing that he’s already resigned from his job!

OMG, this sounds beyond ridiculous.
All the spoilers for this week sound pretty naff, including this and johnny taking baby Susie
Why would Cathy and Brian want to open a hardware store? It makes no sense - they've never shown an interest in that area before. Sally and Danny's hardware store went nowhere back in the day, why would they retread old ground?
Maybe they will have better luck in the next town over. PS how is Cathy's hoarding? maybe they should open a second hand shop.
