The Manchester Evening News has paparazzi pictures taken this week showing Corrie newcomer Josh Tucker targeting David Platt ahead of the show's male rape storyline. The pictures were taken as the scene was filmed at The Shack bar and grill in the Northern Quarter in Manchester.
And the MEN says that Josh will drug David before he rapes him. The report goes on to say that David goes on a night out with Josh when his drink is spiked and he wakes the next morning to discover the terrifying truth that he’s been attacked.
The scenes are expected to be screened in March.
It was recently confirmed that David’s dad Martin will return as part of the storyline, with Sean Wilson reprising his role after 13 years. You can read more on that here.

Martin Platt on the show was before I started watching, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he's like.
I'm a fan of David on the show, with his snarky sense of humour. I'm sure he's going to do a great portrayal of this issue.
It's interesting to watch the Classic Corrie episodes on ITV3 at the moment as Martin's in it.
Unfortunately, we cannot get itv3 where I live.
Would love to revisit those classic episodes from the 1980s.
Since Sarah is shown in the photo with Martin and David,I wonder if that alludes to her dating Josh[now that she's a 'free agent']before he rapes her brother?
As in the case with Kylie's and Nick's one night stand in which she sided with Nick,perhaps Gail takes Sarah's side over David and that's why Martin returns to support his son set his ex and stepdaughter straight and even has a go at Kevin who'll won't believe David.
He was very good so you should enjoy it. I'm glad David will have some support.
