Sad Coronation Street pics taken inside Old Granada Studios

There's an art project online which features some stunning pictures from inside the Old Granada Studios site.  The photos have been taken before the next stage in its development as St John’s - Manchester’s new neighbourhood for enterprise, living and culture.

Andrew Brooks and Hayley Flynn documented the Old Granada Studios site in the winter of 2015. The captured images have been divided thematically into categories such as Identity or Layers, and each of these themes have been explored through creative non-fiction or "field notes".

Have a look at all the old pictures here.

Ah. As someone who used to work there I find it very sad - so many happy memories.

That "Rovers" is of course the visitor one from the Granada Studios Tour - used for the launch of the Labour manifesto in last year's election, oddly :-)
