Next week on Coronation Street, has baby Miley done a runner? Or at least a crawl?
With the Hodges due back from Canada, Anna is looking forward to seeing
Miley. But when Tim calls round and finds their house is empty and up
for let, Anna phones Josie, keen to know what's going on.
Anna and Tim break the news to Faye that the Hodges have taken Miley to
live in Canada but they're shocked by Faye's apparent disinterest. Anna
is upset whilst Tim's devastated and blames himself for supporting the
Hodges at the outset. But what is Faye's true feeling about Miley's move
overseas?
I wonder if we'll ever see Miley Windass again?

Hopefully not. Best thing that could happen in the circumstances. Faye won't want to be reminded that she is a mother every five minutes.
20 years from now a pretty, well off exchange student will come looking for her mom and only find her balding down on his luck uncle.
I'm sure we'll see Miley again - as a stroppy teenager who has grown up hating her mom for giving her up. I can see it already.
Doesn't surprise me at all. I had a feeling something like this would happen. Do they have the legal right to take the baby out of the country? I know the boy is the father maybe they adopted her off screen. At least it will shut nagging Anna up. But it is sad that Anna and Tim will not see their grandchild.
I'm not too surprised that the family is moving and taking Miley, I don't think there was anywhere to go in the story with this baby and Faye, so now we won't be always wondering what happened to her; also glad if she's being relocated it's to Canada,as there hasn't been a nod to "Canada" in quite a while.
Was the Hodges' care of Miley actually made formal and legal? Because if not, they can't just up and move her to the other side of the world without consent, surely.
Maybe in the real world, but on Corrie...
Well no, because the father is not on her birth certificate as far as we know, and therefore wouldn't be able to get a passport in her name. I'd be surprised if anyone took any formal steps to make the change in arrangements formal.
Miley will return to Weatherfield as a teen with a very strong Manchester accent just like Bethany's.
I remember they did put Jackson's name on the birth certificate but does that give them the right to take the baby away without asking? If Faye / Anna signed any papers, we never heard about it.
Good. Bye! Next? Why on earth would Anna and Tim be shocked by Faye's disinterest? They must be the stupidest people on the planet!
Let's face it, it doesn't really matter if it's legal, if they signed the papers or not. Corrie does as it pleases these days and then wants to be 'authentic' when it feels like it. Not the Corrie I know.
Same with social and medical issues. They want to bring them to the public eye for the good of the people and then don't bother getting facts right all in the name of viewing figures.
Given up on it - but love the blog :)
