There's been a lot packed into this past month, hasn't there? Faye had a baby, Owen and Katy left town, Sarah and Bethany returned. Callum is still badgering David and there doesn't seem to be an end to this tedious storyline. I'm hoping Kylie will kick some backside when she returns and I'm looking forward to that! Sinead has come home and Chesney is still looking miserable. Carla and Nick seem to be circling around each other. More and more people are finding out that Gavin is Andy and Michael will likely be the last to know.
Gail married her fifth husband in her sixth wedding. We all wonder if she's going to dig into the trunk of widow's weeds if Michael keels over in shock when he finds out about Gavin. That's inevitable, the finding out bit. The keeling over bit is yet to be discerned.
Tony and Tracy have begin their takeover bid to be masters of the backstreet pub. Please don't let this happen! Something has to happen to out the whole scheme in time to save the pub from a fate worse than death! In one of my favourite storylines, Jenny Bradley is starting to come slightly unhinged around the edges but nobody but Sophie can see it yet.
All this and more on this month's State of the Street.

Wow....excellent recap that was! Thinking back over the past 30 years or so...does there seem to be more of a cast turn-over of late...or am I wrong??
You know what? I normally hate the bones of Tracy Barlow but the Rovers really needs a shake up. I'd like to see her and Tony make a go of it. To see folk on the Street have to find some way to adapt this dramatic change to their local (and perpetual) haunt, and Tracy find some way to get along with others, if she wants to keep her punters!
I too would quite like to see Tracy behind the bar of the rovers. Steve and his problems, Liz and arm folder Michelle are getting a bit stale now.
I agree, the Rovers needs a shake up. I was looking forward to Liz coming back, but that just became the same Old LIz, dressing inappropriately and acting boy crazy...inappropriately. I love Steve at the Rovers, but Michele and Liz have tarnished it for me.
I'm not sure I can take Tracy behind the bar, but a shake up to wipe the smugness off the faces of Liz and Michelle is in order! Can't wait!
A shake up, yes. Tracey and Tony, no. I'd like to see Sally and Tim behind the bar, with Sally putting on airs.
I'd like to see Tracy behind bars, not the bar. I really have no use for that character, other than the role she will play in Deirdre's death and the aftermath. In the real world, major life moments can change the course of one's life and outlook. We can only hope.
One other bit of state is the Are They Or Aren't They Du Jour otherwise known as Carla and Nick. Roy's right, she is very comfortable with him (although AK is a strong enough actor to bring anyone up). I kinda like them together, and hope they stay at least good friends. Really felt for her on Friday when she found out that Erica the slutty antique was pregnant -- OMG, everybody gets a baby except interesting, lovely Carla (btw, 49 my posterior! I'm 54, not particularly attractive, and get no help with hair and makeup yet somehow look 10 years younger than that witch)
