Sally Ann Matthews, who is returning to our favourite show as Jenny Bradley, has confirmed that Jenny's on screen new love will be grease-monkey Kev Webster.
It's time to hide your chequebook, Rita! says our blogger Graeme.
Remind yourself about Jenny Bradley with this clip from Christmas Day 1989.
Radio Times says: "Scenes to be shown next year will see Kevin turn to internet dating to find a girlfriend. But he's shocked when he arranges to meet a mystery woman and discovers that it's none other than Jenny, daughter of infamous Corrie villain Alan Bradley.
She in turn admits that she has started internet dating after a nasty divorce and was intrigued to find Kevin online - and confesses she had a bit of a crush on him when they were younger! The pair start dating but how will Jenny’s foster mum Rita (Barbara Knox) react when she finds out about the relationship?
The pair have not spoken since 1993 when Jenny returned briefly to the Street and it became clear that she was after Rita's money to set up a business. Furious Rita wrote her a cheque for £1000 and sent her packing.
Of her return to Coronation Street, Sally Ann Matthews said: "I'm as intrigued as everyone else to find out what Jenny has been up to for the last 21 years! I'm thrilled to be invited back and can't wait to get started."

So a spent character that has had her day is brought back to the already burdgeoning cast to have an affair with another has been character that has had his day in the Street. Hm.
Morning Frosty! I love the idea of Jenny coming back. Sorry this post doesn't fill you with the joys of spring but maybe one day we'll get it right, just for you.
Team Frosty.
I am actually looking forward to this. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for now. I don't think we should judge until the storyline is on screen
I like this idea. Jenny's a character with a lot of history and this is an interesting way to bring her back. I'm also glad that this might stop Kev mooning over Sally - much as I love the Websters together, I love Tim more!
I like the idea and I'm with you Scott, anything to keep Sally and Kevin from reuniting.
I know a way to keep Sally and Kevin from the same tired old merry-go-'round... get rid of these tired old characters who have had their day. I'm with Frosty... there is already a cast of characters who have more than enough potential for interesting stories. As for Cilla, I'm willing to give HER the benefit of the doubt mostly because the actress did a great job but as we saw with Dennis Tanner -- it could all blow up in smoke with bad, unimaginative writing.
To Frosty,
So a spent character that has had her day:
(Jenny Bradley came and went, she once had an interesting story)
is brought back to the already burdgeoning cast:
(Even though we should be better using the current cast of abundant characters already on the show.)
to have an affair with another has been character that has had his day in the Street:
(Frosty is not a fan of Kev and likes to get rid of people once they've had their 'day'.)
Hm.
(Hm.)
why so glum chum?
But Frosty, I do agree with you on the fact that we don't need any more new characters brought in for a while.
I Agree with Frosty , I can't understand ( other than to keep up with Eastenders) why there has to be an endless train of Supposedly "Classic" characters coming back to the street.
It's all a bit tedious.
I see Frosty he's normal cheery self as usual
I also agree with Frosty about Kevin being a spent character as all he does since his 'return'is hang out in the Rovers or the café and yet others were axed due to 'lack of storyline?Of course Sally as we know will become jealous and Jenny will again cause trouble and want money from Rita.
If the writers feel they must bring back classic characters why not those who are likeable like Mavis or Curly?
Didn't miss Kevin and actually forgot he was meant to return, so I suppose it'll be like getting two new (old) characters?
Kevin had to return because of the actor's contract. Jenny will probably have run-ins with Sally and Rita. Like any story, it may take off or flop. Who'd have thought Tim and Sally would work so well?
Sophie will love the fact that her dad's got a life and Maddie will suss that Jenny has various dark secrets. Cue big bust up between them.
