It's Friday again so it's time for this week's fab Coronation Street
photo. I'd been looking forward to the fight between Michelle and Tracy this week but although their get up in curlers and hairdressing gowns gave the scene a suitable air of the absurd, the fight itself was little more than a bit of pushing and shoving. So here are some pictures of some far better squabbles on the cobbles.

Those are some great photos. I can't actually remember why Gail and Deirdre came to blows, but Gail and Eileen is the classic. I watched it again on youtube and it had obviously been carefully choreographed. As you say, FN, the Tracy/Michelle fight was only a bit of pushing and shoving. It might say something about the actresses' capacity to do fight routines. Suranne Jones said recently that, in her fight scenes with Tracy, Kate Ford was a bit 'girly'. Rather restricts your range in that case.
Beg your pardon. Sunny Jim.
I laughed so hard when Gail 'pied' Dreary...unbelievable!
Too true about the weak performance with Tracy and Michelle. Both have rod straight hair and are sitting in jumbo curlers in the salon? Wasn't worth the bother except to watch Kylie's face throughout..that was the best part!
I thought the best part about it was Dennis' mischievous "Reminds me of me Mam." Glad we're seeing him interacting with a few different characters this week.
Who is the red-head on the floor/ I assume that's Liz who knocked her down. Can it be Gail again scrapping?
That was The one that was married to Harry the bookie i think.
I loved Deirdre getting cake-faced. It had to do with her snogging Lewis who was Audrey's erstwhile fella before doing a runner.
No, isn't that redhead the drunk wife of Gerry what's-his-name from the donner shop?
Gail may not get the best storylines but she always has the most entertaining fight scenes! :)
Just for the record, women with straight hair use oversized curlers to add volume to their hair, not curl it. Perfectly plausible that both Michelle and Tracy had those type of curlers in their hair in the places they had them.
Deffo the redhead is the wife of Gerry from the Donner shop; she'd been messing with Lloyd when Liz was trying to make him hers.
Call me old fashioned but I much prefferred the days when the woman used witty verbal put downs raher than pulling each others hair. Far more realistic too. How often do you actually see women scrapping in the street?- Micky
I always find it interesting when fans want to return to a version of the past that never really existed. Weren't Elsie and Ena seen practically lamping each other in the road in first week of broadcast?
Tvor is right. It is Clarissa Mason, Harry's ex-wife in that photo - not Teresa Morton. If you hover your mouse over the picture, it says 'liz-clarissa.jpg.'
Yes, the actress's hair is much too sleek and long to be Theresa's
...and she is too stylishly dressed! Having said that, I would like to see Teresa back on the cobbles one day...she was great. But it probably won't happen because there's no real reason for her to return...all her family have gone.
