He might have slid down Michelle's ladder and away into the night, but Jake the builder will be back on Corrie later this year. Actor Kenny Doughty, who plays Jake, has been signed up to appear in the New Year's Eve episode of the soap, a Coronation Street spokeswoman confirmed.

Why on earth has he been signed up again, and if anyone contemplates that Me Me Me Michelle could ever hold a candle to Vera, you need your bumps felt!
He'll be back? Oh, that's a shame, I didn't like him. And the less air time Michelle gets, the better.
