News that Jack Duckworth's going to spend more time with new love Connie comes as no surprise. And it's heartening to find out that Bill Tarmey isn't leaving his role on Coronation Street. Now then, thinking about Jack got me thinking about his relationship with Connie and how happy he seems. Do you think she's better for Jack then Vera ever was? I mean, the two of them were always fighting, it seemed.

Not a patch on our V, but I also think Jack's missed a trick by not getting closer to Pam.
Pam is far too young for Jack. Connie is ideal for him and shares his interests in pigeons. I don’t think you can compare the passionate volatile relationship with Jack and Vera that started when they were young to the easy companiable relationship Jack has with Connie in their later years.
God, they'll never be Jack and Vera but i really do like Connie. She seems genuinely lovely, i want her for a nan! She obviously loves spending time with Jack and i'm just fine with that and i think our V would be n all. I loved the bickering between Jack and Vera, they loved each other so much though and they'll never be samed. That aside Vera isn't here anymore and Jack needs a companion and has found a lovely one in Connie.
I think Connie is perfect for Jack at this time in his life.
