Friday night's double episode of Coronation Street was a cracker. But did you know that the torrential rain wasn't real, it was brought in by special effects firm Any Effects and Carla Connor, being heavily pregnant, didn't screech off in the car herself, she had a stunt double. Find out more and see how Carla's final scenes were filmed in a short video on the official Corrie site.
And through all the drama, the great Coronation Street macaroon mystery unfolded. The writing on Corrie at the minute is pretty darn good.

"But did you know that the torrential rain wasn't real,"
Just assumed that automatically. As they did go for a, it-was-a-dark-and-stormy-night routine, thunderclap too at one point.
In Gothic novels a portent of bad things afoot.
I just thought it was a typical Manchester night!
