If you're going on the Coronation Street tour and you have spare time while in Manchester, you might want to check out Cloud 23, Hilton Manchester Deansgate’s bar, who are serving up a very special Corrie themed afternoon tea
Guests can nibble on a Warm Weatherfield Cake (Eccles cake), have a mouthy treat in the form of a Battersby Battenberg, or savour the memories of lovely Stan and Hilda with a tribute Sherry Trifle, created in honour of the Ogdens.
Five different sandwiches and savouries are also served, each honouring the legendary ITV soap, including Spiced Coronation Street Sandwich, Betty’s Hotpot Wrap and Roy Cropper’s Fish Supper.
The Coronation Street Afternoon Tea at Cloud 23 will be served from 10th May between 12pm and 5pm and costs £38 per adult and £12.50 per child. For more information visit http://www.cloud23bar.com.

How much??? That's more than I spend on my weekly shop!
Alternatively don't get ripped off, save £30, do something 100% more athentically Street buy yourself some fish & chips on the way home. Other takeaway options are available!!
I'll go with the fish 'n chips! Even here in Canada... I used to do the occasional afternoon tea but the price has risen sky high for what? A few morsels of dainties and tiny little sandwiches... and a pot of tea? After which you're left starving... maybe hungrier than when you came in! No, no, no... for $50 (not including tax and tip) and upwards, this Canadian has long eschewed the English high tea for bakery cafes that serve both decent coffee/tea AND freshly baked pastries and daily sandwiches. Plus, some are in fab locations in the city with a good view...
It is tea at a hotel and seems meant to offer a unique experience, not a take away. The price may seem high but consider the location and it's probably on par with others.
£38 for a tea is very expensive. Looks swish though but would be better to visit at night to see the skyline and spend that money on 3 cocktails!!
