Kirsty's mask will slip and her true colours will be out there for all to see and there will be a lot of crow eaten by Tyrone's former friends. We don't know if Tyrone will be convicted or not, but I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that he won't be, considering we already know that Natalie is leaving the show. If he is, he won't be there long before charges are dropped, I'd say.

I figured it would be Julie who'd feel Kirsy's wrath first. I am glad to see that this storyline is winding down.

I find it insulting that the writers would have us believe that all of Tyrone's friends would believe Kirsty's lies.

Not all of Tyrone's friends are against him, though. Roy and Hayley, Kevin, and of course Tina and Tommy as well are on his side and many of the others seem to be on the fence.
Don't forget that surprising little scene where Peter defends him. Glad to see Kirsty didn't go to the police to confess after speaking with her Mom - people believing her need to see the true Kirsty in action and then get ready to eat THAT BIG PIECE OF HUMBLE PIE.
Very happy to hear that Kirsty will be showing her true colours. Those who took her side really need to see what she is really like. As to not everyone taking her side, don't forget Carla stuck up for Fiz when she was being bullied by Julie and gang not too many episodes ago.
I REALLY can't wait for this story line to end.
I agree with the above comment. I never liked this story from when Tyrone first started dating Kirsty. I just don't find physical pain, emotional torture, and abuse all that entertaining. I hope it ends soon, and I hope it's resolved so there's not a chance of Kirsty Soames EVER returning.
It was very long time simmering up and,tbh, I got bored a quarter of the way through this story. It was only saved by Natalie Gumede and Alan Halsall. It picked up and bounced along until the unfortunate sl about Tyrone and Fiz. As someone else posted a while back, it would have been much more interesting if there had been no affair except in Kirsty's mind, and she had persuaded the Street to believe her. There's been a lot of legal misinformation simply to keep the story going,eg about the dna, and again the actors rather than the story made it watchable. We're very near the end, and I wonder if there will be a denouement wrapping up the stray ends. Why did Kirsty choose Tyrone? He seems way out of her league. And is Ruby his?

Abusive people like Kirsty can smell weakness and vulnerability in others. Most people won't put up with abuse for long, unless they feel they have to, ie: for the sake of the children, they have no where else to go, etc. She knew exactly what to do to entrap Ty into her web of torment. She separated him from his friends and support system, and made sure she got pregnant ( By him?) because fathering a baby would be his weak spot. Knowing his history with Molly and her infidelity, resulting in a baby that wasn't his, Kirsty knew exactly which buttons to push to keep Ty emotionally bound to her, no matter how much she mistreated him. For abusers like her, their "type" would be someone they can torment who can't/won't leave them. A woman as damaged and deranged as Kirsty would not be able to hold onto a man who wasn't as kind hearted and emotionally wounded as Tyrone, or who had enough money to drag her through the legal system. As The Beige Lady said to Eva regarding Gloria's relationship with Eric, "It's like watching a lion chasing a poor, knackered Gazelle.". The same could be said about Kirsty and Ty.

It's a shame that the script writers don't have the same insight into the characters character as you do, if they did the Street would be much better.

I do wish that the headings of these could have a spoiler alert in the title. I had read this by the time I realised it was giving away a future storyline.

People are ragged by Julie's support of Kirsty, but I find it realistic. Most people cannot believe a woman would abuse her spouse. They are more comfortable with it the other way round. Julie is being used to show why it is difficult for abused men to speak up.
