And poor Chesney (Sam Aston) is going to have to pull out all the stops to compete with smooth talking Ryan (Sol Heras) once he has set his sights on teen mum Katy (Georgia May Foote).
The steamy storyline start next week when Ryan is asked to DJ at the 18th birthday of one of Katy’s friends.
For the first time he sees Katy dolled up and looking a world away from the young mum he has known before.
Katy is powerless to resist and it isn’t long before he has made his move when they are both at work in the kebab shop.
Sol said: ‘Obviously she’s got Joseph and she’s with Chesney so Ryan’s only ever seen her play the mother role but suddenly he sees her dressed up for the first time and out in his environment. He realises how pretty she is and what a gorgeous girl she is.
‘He manages to sort it for her to get a job at the kebab shop and yes he probably does have an ulterior motive.
‘It’s one of those classic moments where they both go to pick something up and there’s eyes just meet. They have that couple of seconds look then they both go in for the kiss. It’s a mutual thing, for once Ryan isn’t the villain, it’s very much a mutual thing.’
Georgia said: ‘Katy hasn’t really had that teenage wild time because she settled down so early with Chesney. Her head is really turned by Ryan, she and Chesney have got a bit comfortable and her life is not very exciting. she knows it is wrong but she just can’t help herself.’

The only possible joy in this would be knowing that Owen will beat the c*** out of that useless sack of skin known as Ryan.
It would be a double bonus if that got Owen hauled off to prison, never to be seen again.
Eh Chesney and Katy were never going to last they're way to young. I just hope little Joseph survives it. Katy is missing out on being young and having fun and its interesting the show is dealing with that. Poor Ches though he never catches a break.
What would Ryan want with a teenage Mum? Yet another random coupling that is completely unrealistic. It would be far more interesting and plausible if Katy was bored with babies and went after Ryan, but he turned her down or just used her for some fun, as he's the last person to want to change nappies.
Well Kay-tee is a bit dumb but she is very pretty indeed that is what Ryan sees not a teenage "mom". However I dont particularly like Owen nor his ghastly daughters.
What a shame. Amid all the other cheating/fighting couples, Chesneh and Kateh have stuck together, with their little 'un. I dislike Ryan, and here's another reason why.

I think you've got it right that's one of the best scenarios I've seen put forward.
Too bad Collinson (I assume this Katy/Ryan whatever is still part of his crap storylines) couldn't be that inventive.
Actually anything to get Owen off the Street I keep hoping that Faye will drop him in it to social services for his abuse of her.

I wonder if they will do that annoying soap thing of making it somehow all Chesneys fault just because hes the man.
In fairness, it's not true that Ryan has no interest in children; he was over the moon when he thought he was going to be a dad by Tracy and devestated when it turned out to be a con.
Not looking forward to this storyline, but I too believe Ches & Katy could never have worked out for real. It's about time Katy (a bright girl, we've always been told) started to wake up and realise what an idiot she's been, trading her teen years for middle-aged drudgery.
I disagree with all the comments! I luv Chesney , yes, but i think Katy deserves a bit of fun and she and Ryan are so cute together! Hope it works out xxxx
