The Inside Soap Awards took place at One Marylebone in London on Monday 24 September. Coronation Street won only three of the awards, as follows:
Michelle Keegan - Sexiest Female award and Best Dressed Soap Star award
Alex Bain - Best Young Actor award.
Corrie lost out to EastEnders in the Best Soap award and the rival BBC soap also took seven of the awards. ITV's other soap, Emmerdale, didn't win any awards at all.
All the winners are listed here.

Well..I am shocked that Corrie didn't win...not. Dismal acting..ridiculos plots...boring characters...EE has it all over Corrie. At least when I watch EE I know it's going to be total rubbish but I always thought Corrie had a bit of class, until Sunita started banging Karl and now that they have nothing to do with Tracy, they hook her up with a teenager. The producer needs to be shown the door...fast!!!I could go on but what's the use??
IMO Corrie is sliding fast-the sharks are circling.
While I agree some of Corrie's plots can be ridiculous, when compared to EE it still has a feeling about it that real people might live there at least some of the time. EE is so very depressing, and there is no acting going on. Actors' lines always feel out of sync somehow, like they can't wait to finish & go home. I just don't understand how it keeps winning all these awards. Seems strange to me.
(I watch Emmerdale too, and find that too much more enjoyable than grey & dreary EE.)
