Queries are flooding in today after Aunty Pam's proving what a star she is on Coronation Street. Corrie fans are asking where they've seen the actress who plays Aunty Pam before. Well, the actress who plays Pam Hobsworth is Kate Anthony and she's appeared in The Bill, Holby City, Where the Heart is and also EastEnders.

I have seen Kate Anthony in several adverts including BT (she took over from Maureen Lipman in a classic advert), Typhoo, PC World and many more as well as starring in John Godber's hit play - Perfect Pitch.
I'm sure she will have us all laughing and smiling as Aunty Pam, which undoubtedly will be a fabulous new character for Coronation Street if it continues as it's started. Keep it coming, can't wait for the story lines and hopefully she will link up more with Blanche, what a double act that would be which will have us roaring with laughter. great move Corra.
