The British Soap Awards took place on Saturday night, 3rd May, in London. Results were announced and can be found in full here.
Although Coronation Street lost out to EastEnders for Best Soap, winners on the Street were:
Sexiest Male - Rob James Collier (Liam Connor)
Villian of the Year - Jack P Shepherd (David Platt)
Best Comedy Performance - Maggie Jones (Blanche Hunt)
Best Newcomer - Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre)
Lifetime Achievement Award - Liz Dawn (Vera Duckworth)
The awards show will be on ITV on Wednesday night, 7th May with the aftershow party shown on ITV2.

I'm just watching the awards now. Liz Dawn did very well, and the Street is looking good to win a lot of awards tonight.
It was excellent to see Kevin Kennedy (Curly) present her with the award too.
