Where have you seen Corrie's celebrant before?

If you're wondering where you've seen the woman who played the celebrant in Coronation Street tonight, then wonder no more.

The celebrant is played by Hayley Cartwright who has been in Coronation Street before, as the celebrant at Baby Oliver's (it's not a christening it's a naming ceremonychristening that was held at the Bistro earlier this year.  We blogged about that here.

And she also appeared as the wedding celebrant at Aidan and Eva's wedding. We blogged about that here.

Hayley's screen credits include the film Time Burst in which she plays Alysha, a time lady and an inventor. 2018 also saw Hayley working at The Royal Exchange, working with The Contact Theatre on the project Re:Con, Temporary Monument, Permanent Protest.

She played Lisa in the comedy Up the Bunting for which she gained glowing reviews ('excellent acting by Cartwright'). As a voice artist she also voiced the most hilarious character - a 250 million year old column of coal!

2018 also saw Hayley join the programme, Your MCR (a YouTube channel) as the 'soap gossip' presenter, weekly. Once a month, I also have a special guest. Last year these have included  Georgia Taylor (Toyah in Corrie) and Dolly-Rose Campbell (Gemma).

Her reviews are fantastic, and her stage acting profile is amazing. There is far too much to blog here, so I urge you have a look at her Spotlight CV which outlines all of her TV, stage, film, radio and voiceover work.

Corrie fans who have been on the Coronation Street Tour might recognise Hayley as she performed as a tour guide there, gaining glowing reviews!

And finally, yes I’ve met her and yes, she is as lovely as she looks in her profile pic!
