WEDNESDAY 21ST AUGUST
DAVID FEARS NICK WAKING UP WILL DESTROY HIM. Gail and Leanne are relieved as Nick’s taken off the ventilator and can breathe on his own. Meanwhile at the bistro Leanne confides in Tina about the awful time she and Nick have had and how they’ve been victims of a hate campaign. As Leanne lists the things that have happened, Tina eyes David suspiciously, will she realise he’s to blame for everything?
IS IT THE END OF THE ROAD FOR EILEEN AND PAUL? Paul tells Eileen how sorry he is for all the grief he’s caused and suggests they meet for lunch. Over lunch, he tells her how he wants to spend the rest of his life with her and suggests they get married as soon as they can. Taken aback, how will Eileen respond?
STELLA HAS DOUBTS ABOUT HER IMPENDING WEDDING. Stella’s disappointed with the second hand wedding dress she’s bought off the Internet. Along with her worries over celebrating while Nick’s still in hospital, will Stella see it as another sign that she should put the wedding on hold?
ELSEWHERE As Katy and Chesney share a laugh together like old times it’s clear she regrets leaving him. Katy’s hopeful they can reconcile but as she gets her hopes up what are Chesney’s feelings for Sinead?

Let's hope Eileen's response to Paul is a quick kick in the 'nads and a run for the hills!
ReplyDeleteI wish they would both run for the hills, fed up with this unkempt sour faced bitter middle aged moaner who feels Paul doesnt 'love her enough' because he didnt give up his job and put himself out of work or go against his principles and apologise to Lloyd. What next for her - another unbelivable paramour, another disaster - she needs to go.
ReplyDeleteWhy would anyone want to spend the rest of their lives strapped to that mouthy self pitying Eileen is beyond me. Paul must have his brain in a smoke fog or something. I hope he takes a powder.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I couldn't agree more with all the above posts.
ReplyDeleteI detest Eileen more than I dislike Paul. She should think herself lucky that any man would give her a second glance.
I think Paul is the self-pitying one.
ReplyDeleteEileen is always the one sitting on a sofa hugging a pillow wallowing on about herself. Why anyone would want her is beyond me, its just shouting and head wobbling with the character. She needs written out as well.
ReplyDeleteSo happy Eileen is getting the heartbreak she deserves.
ReplyDeleteI liked Eileen before she met Paul, now she's a miserable whiney scruff bag. Can we have the old Eileen back, please?
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more with Rosie's comment. Eileen used to be funny and real but since she met her "fireman" all the heat seems to have been misplaced. Piss off Paul.
ReplyDeleteRosies: very true. But look what losing the man in her life did for Deirdre. Maybe it will work for Eileen too.
ReplyDeleteTo anonymous above, that wouldn't work - the difference is that Anne Kirkbride can act.
ReplyDeleteThe other one can't.
Dilly Daydream! Too funny...and true.
