Monday 18th January 2021
FAYE FACES UP TO THE CONSEQUENCES As Sally and Tim bicker about the idea of moving to Spain, Faye hurries out, the weight of the world on her shoulders. Desperate to unburden herself, Faye confesses to Craig how Ray tried to rape her. As Craig reels Faye admits how she cheated on him, slept with Ray and ended up attacking Adam by mistake. With Craig’s support, Faye hands herself in at the police station.
RAY’S STRESSES START TO MOUNT Mick chucks Ray out of the back of his van and tells him he’s got 24 hours to find the money. Meanwhile Debbie reminds Ray that they’re completing No's 4 and 6 today so he’d better have got the cash. Ray assures her he’s on it but when he meets up with Susan, Chairperson of the planning committee, she tells him she wants £20k or she’ll reveal how he bribed her. When Ray reveals he’s had to use the money earmarked for No.4 and No.6 to pay off Mick and another bung to Susan, Debbie’s fuming.
IT’S THE END OF AN ERA FOR THE PLATTS David, Shona and Gail pack up the house, dreading their move. When Gail confides in Nick that she’s too old to be slumming it on a rough council estate, will Nick cave and invite her to move in with him and Sam?
ELSEWHERE Having taken a call from Violet, Sean reveals that Dylan has been suspended from school and is on his way to Manchester. Dylan arrives but refuses to discuss it.

FAYE FINDS HER COURAGE In the police interview room, a terrified Faye explains how she attacked Adam Barlow thinking he was Ray Crosby. Tim rails at Craig, accusing him of forcing Faye to hand herself in, in the hope he’ll be promoted. Faye steels herself and describes how Ray tried to rape her and the attack was a bid for revenge. At the bistro Debbie’s stunned as Ray is arrested on suspicion of attempted rape.
THINGS GO FROM BAD TO WORSE FOR RAY In a bid to try and stop the house sales falling through, Ray calls the bank. Meanwhile as Alya helps Yasmeen with the last of her things, a call from the solicitor advises that there’s been a delay as Ray’s funds haven’t cleared. Yasmeen asserts that until she sees the colour of Ray’s money, she’s going nowhere and won’t let him bully her like Geoff did. Alya’s delighted to see a glimpse of her old Gran.
THE PLATTS SAY GOODBYE TO NO.8 As the heartbroken Platts move out of No.8, Alya tells David about Ray’s cash flow problem. David finds Ray and Debbie mid-row but when he threatens to stay put at No.8, Ray menacingly asserts that he’ll have him thrown out.
ELSEWHERE Dylan finally opens up to Sean and explains that he’s being bullied at school because his Dad’s gay.
