Coronation Street Christmas Spoiler: Tragedy on the cobbles

The wonderful Inside Soap Yearbook 2020 is in the shops now.
In the Yearbook, the magazine always takes a look ahead to what's coming up over the festive period, and beyond, for some of our favourite characters.
And so, here in a nutshell, are some sneak previews for storylines from Inside Soap magazine who say: "Corrie whispers suggest that the Grim Reaper will be visiting the cobbles on 25 December - and its two-timing chef Robert will pay the ultimate price!
Tabloid reports have suggested a showdown between gangster Gary and his shady associate Derek, which will result in a shootout in the Rovers on Christmas Day. And this theory seems to have been backed up by the show's stars, who tell Inside Soap magazine it'll be a cruel yule on Coronation Street.
"I've read the script for Christmas Eve and it's quite dramatic!" says Jennie McAlpine, aka Fiz. "It's not all mistletoe and Jingle Bells. I can't say if anyone dies..."
"My advice is not to have too much turkey and eggnog," says Sally-Ann Matthews, who plays Jenny. "That way you'll still be able to watch it!"

  1. A shoot-down in The Rovers. Charming. I think some writers have been spending too much time in the US.

  10. Not very Christmasy! Why does this show that I’ve been watching for almost 50 years have to glom onto such horrifying topics? I get it that some topics are important to educate the public (men’s depression) but really!.....its just one thing after another!.....i miss the Hilda Ogden or the Jack and Vera Days! Can we please have some normal life?!
