Angela Griffin, who plays Fiona Middleton in Coronation Street, has said this week that there's no plans to bring back Fiona to the show at the moment. And I think that's a real shame.
I reckon Fiona and her son, Emma's brother, Morgan would be a good addition to the show and I'd love to see Fiona back. She and Steve might even rekindle their romance, who knows?
Would you like Fiona to come back full-time after her too-brief appearance via Skye? I would and I vote Yay.
But what do YOU say?

Steve and Tracey are the only people who could stand each other long term.
ReplyDeleteI didn't much like Fiona the first time round, and we've already got a very bloated cast. Let's get rid of some of the deadwood before we start bringing back more old characters or introducing new ones.
ReplyDeleteyay!!! Let’s bring Fiona back!
ReplyDeleteNay! In real life people rarely return to previous homes, plus I like Steve and Tracy together, against all my expectations. I can't see Angela Griffin wanting to come back know anyway, she is hardly short of work.!
ReplyDeleteYes to occasional visits but no to a full time return.
ReplyDeleteI also say nay to a full time return for Fiona,Toyah's return has been a disappointment and she's become a tainted character after keeping Aidan's daughter for herself trying to pass her off as Peter's daughter.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure if they brought back Fiona she'd end up having an affair with Steve and I really don't want that to happen. He's working so well with Tracy.
ReplyDeleteIt's down to the chemistry between the returner and whoever they're paired with. Mostly it hasn't worked but Jenny and Johnny have worked brilliantly. Down to luck and that would apply to Fiona. I'd hate to see her break up Steve and Tracy but only because Tracy would become the Wicked Witch again. So boring. No, keep Fiona wherever she is now and let her Skype. She could even row with Steve via Skype which might be funny.
ReplyDeleteI love Tracy and Steve together - they've become the new Jack and Vera.
ReplyDeleteI too would like to see occasional visits from Fiona - it's not necessary that she become permanent. We're also overdue a visit from Denise - Daniel could do with his Mum around about now.
I disagree with criticisms of Toyah. The initial partnering with Peter didn't work but her relationship with Leanne is as good as it has ever been. I also like her and Imran together.
My thoughts exactly Rapunzel! and I too like the character via Skype/Facetime appearances. Morgan seemed likable and it would be nice to see Emma make up with him. hope he comes back around.
DeleteNAY!! I agree with Charles
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't always served me well to admit this...but I am a Tracy Barlow fan...so when she became Tracy McDonald I was delighted. If anyone brings Fiona back in to upset that...I will have to fly over and put a quick stop to it! lol Loving The McDonald family....leave them be. :-) I loved the connection of Fiona and Emma...but Emma is fantastic..she and Steve will be fine...no Fiona required.
ReplyDeleteAs for Daniel...his mom is the last person he needs. She really was not a good mother.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine the actress would even want to come back for the drivel that now passes as a script.
