Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 24th April 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's episode review, part one.

Carla's disappearance, in the midst of psychosis, continues to be an emotional weight for Peter. As Peter fails to find her whilst driving around Weatherfield, Simon has an idea and creates a #findcarla hashtag and video for social media, in the hope of going viral.

St George's day celebrations at the Rovers start in earnest, with Jenny and Johnny dressed in medieval fancy dress (from 'cossie world', no less). and start getting the pub ready for the evening celebrations.

Gemma's still ill, and Chesney is convinced it's the result of a two-day hangover. Paul later tells Chez that Gemma hasn't had a drink since the caravan break. Explaining the disastrous holiday to Emma, Gemma admits that recent events are causing her to question the whole relationship, deciding it may be best if she moved out. With feelings ambiguous, Gemma decides its time to talk to Rita. When Rita suggests that Gemma could be pregnant (to much hilarity) she decides to buy a test.

Sarah is still shocked at Gary's devious debt dealings and no longer wants him living with her. Having spent the night at Izzy's, Gary tries to explain things to Bethany, but it looks like Sarah's decision is final.

Fresh from the christening & 'El Kirko's classic performance of his original song 'our soles' our Kirky has an idea to audition for 'The X-Factor'. Beth, however, isn't convinced. With news of a  council tax 'poo gate' rebate, Kirk decides he wants a new guitar, and Beth will reluctantly be his manager.

Round at Eileen's, Seb admits to Jan and Eileen that he's keen on the girl from the salon, and starts getting ready to decorate the pub.

At the Rovers, Peter gets angry and chastises Jenny for her opinion on Carla's disappearance, but later, Simon has positive news of her possible whereabouts.

Gemma taking the pregnancy test and receives a shocking result.
