Jane Seymour: "If Corrie call me, I'll do it!"

Jane Seymour, Hollywood actress, said this week that she would like a role in Coronation Street. New girlfriend for Ken and some competition for Claudia, I think? Oh yes, please!

Jane  revealed this week hat she thinks it would be 'fun' to star in Coronation Street, as her showbiz mates Sir Ian McKellen (Mel Hutchwright) and Nigel Havers (Lewis Archer) enjoyed appearing in the soap so much that they recommended she did too.

The actress, 68, is quoted in The Mail online saying: "My friend Ian McKellen told me, "You've got to do Corrie" and I thought, "Yes, why not."

"If they called me, and I could go there and do it and have some fun with it, then yes. It's a cult thing."

  1. Oh yes please, a bit of class. I used to love her in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.

  2. Really? Ken Barlow, Mr Carisma with Joanne Lumley, Stephanie Beecham, Rula Lenska and Jane Seymour? Why not Candice Bergan, Twiggy, Raquel Welch and any other Seventies icon.

  4. La Seymour deserves better than Ken! Peter's 54 and single - set her up with him. We all know he has a thing for classy ladies with long shiny hair...

    1. Totally agree! There is nothing appealing about Ken for a beautiful woman!

  6. She needs to hook up with Nick or David. Heck, even Chesney is more attractive than Ken!

Jane Seymour on Corrie?! Hell to the yes!

But not as a girlfriend for Ken.

  8. Sorry, not a fan here. Talented, beautiful, sure. I just find it jarring when Hollywood comes calling to the Street.

  9. I agree with Maggie. I hate it when characters are shoe horned in just to satisfy the egos of the actors and producers.

  10. What about as the mysterious Rhea? Roy’s long lost sister maybe?

Or even maybe a different character and a new love interest for Roy? He could meet her as a friend of Rhea who teens him about her as she’s passed away.

  11. I was going to say bring her on as Claudia's long lost daughter then realized they're close in age so why not as Claudia's sister?
