Helen Flanagan, who plays Rosie Webster in Coronation Street, tells Inside Soap magazine this week that she wants to return to the show.
She says: "I'd love to go back to Corrie. It's just a matter of when and how I work it."
Helen is still on maternity leave after having her second child.
On screen, Rosie left Weatherfield in 2018 after she helped to put her former agent Antoine Reese behind bars for using models as drugs mules. She then accepted an offer to be assistant on a television game show in Japan and left Weatherfield again.

Give me Rosie over Gemma any day.
ReplyDeleteGemma is more believable as a character. Sad the way they made Rosie so thick and a caricature. Looking forward to the quadruplets and hopefully it will provide the required relief from the endless Platt merry-go-round
DeletePlease no! Enough of her thanks!
ReplyDeleteYes yes yes !!!! There’s been a big Rosie-shaped hole in the Metcalfe house (and recent storylines) ever since she left. She can’t come back soon enough.
ReplyDeleteI agree with ancient corrier, prefer Rosie to Gemma. I wish they would write her out.
ReplyDeletePeople used to say the same thing about Vera Duckworth in the 80s but she went on to become an iconic character in a similar gobby way to Gemma.
ReplyDeleteI really hope so! I dreaded her return last time but I enjoyed watching her being so self centered and vacuous. And funny.
