The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street and Emma clocks how close Gemma and Chesney really are. She realises that they should be together and finishes with Chesney to set him free.
Later, Chesney’s disappointed when Gemma agrees to meet him for a drink but fails to show up. Gemma apologises for standing him up and assures him that her feelings towards him haven’t changed.
And at the Rovers, with Jenny and Johnny away Gemma asks Emma to take over the bar whilst she and Ches have some alone time in the cellar.

What an utter, total foolish plonker that Chesney is. No Emma dear, he should be with you, not that selfish pikey chav Gemma.
ReplyDeleteI'm quite glad about this really because Emma deserves someone way better than Chesney.
ReplyDeleteWell, yes Louby, there is that I suppose :-)
ReplyDeleteTrouble is, there are no nice boys in Corrie now. Maybe Craig?
ReplyDeleteWhat about Seb? He's quite nice these days.
ReplyDeleteEmma and Seb were flirting for a while, that's true.
ReplyDeleteChesney has a pattern of using girls like this. He did it to Sinead at the beginning of their relationship when he was still pining after Katy, until she gave him an ultimatum. Emma deserves WAY better, and she'll realize that soon enough.
I'm surprised at all the comments here about how Emma deserves a nice bloke. Don't forget she slept with her boss David, and moved in with him, after the briefest of acquaintances, so she's not all that picky. I think the writers have given her a bit of a personality transplant since she's been involved with Chesney, making her more of a sweet and innocent girl.
