The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street and Brain and Cathy head over to tell Rita that they are buying the Kabin. However, they are thwarted when Rita furiously announces that Norris has sold the shop from under her, unaware that Brian and Cathy are the ones that Norris has sold the shop to.
Rita’s furious that they went behind her back and she chucks the keys at them, telling them she’s resigning with immediate effect.
Brian struggles to run the Kabin single handed and Cathy urges him to make up with Rita. Will it work out?

Why would Brian be struggling to run the cabin by himself? Rita a woman in her 80's has been running it for years! How hard could it be to sell a few magazines and candies.
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn’t say that if you started at 5 am and had to work through without a break till 6 at night
DeleteOn the money the Kabin must make it's amazing Brian can pay himself a wage let alone anyone else.
ReplyDeleteShops like there little gold mines believe me
DeleteIn all fairness, the shop doesn't look like it's moving much with the times and is in need of modernisation. I wish instead of another factory disaster that the kabin blows up and Rita moves into the penthouse at Victoria Court. It would open up interesting new stories and opportunities if that plot of land was sold and redeveloped. A Gregg's or a vape shop would be more in keeping with the times we're living in?
DeleteBrian will be too busy eating the candy to run the shop. I don't know haw he became a teacher when they make him out to be not so bright.
ReplyDeleteWill be the end of an era if Rita goes for good
ReplyDeleteIt's not the selling that's difficult, but the ordering of so many products, knowing the suppliers, and paying them. Rita must know it inside out after all these decades!
