Coronation Street Spoiler: Liz’s dead daughter arrives

The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street and Jim has a shock for Liz when he brings in her dead daughter Katie. But Katie is called Hannah now and Liz is overcome with shock at everything that Jim has brought to her door.

Explaining the hospital made a mistake, Jim shows Liz a DNA test which confirms Hannah is their daughter and there was a mix up at birth. Visibly shaken, Liz stares at the photo and breaks down. She is overcome with emotion but decides to meet Hannah.

She presents Hannah with a necklace before heading to Katie’s grave where she breaks down again. Jim breaks the news to Steve that his sister is alive, that she’s called Hannah and has his condition myotonic dystrophy. Having met Hannah, Steve and Tracy scour the internet for more information about her. Summoning Liz and Jim to the flat they reveal Hannah isn’t who she says she is!

  1. This storyline is a retcon of the worst kind - ludicrously far-fetched and insulting to the characters as well as the viewers. I can only hope, as hinted here, it turns out to be just a scam. But if so, it's still in incredibly poor taste...

  2. Could it be some far fetched plan of Jim's to get back with Liz?

I totally agree with the previous comment.

  3. Could not agree more! What were the writers thinking! I am a Canadian viewer and must say I am so not looking forward to this storyline at all. I am not a fan of bully-boy Jim, and am certain Peter will not be glad to see him!
