ITV Coronation Street have revealed a behind-the-scenes special effects secret. It certainly had me wondering about it when I saw it on Friday night's Corrie.

Anyone who has ever watched a CGI-rich film (Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit etc etc) would know this was done by green screen. Widely used in TV programmes for years.
ReplyDeleteWell anonymous, there were a LOT of people on Facebook who asked if the actor had really lost his leg. I think a lot people couldn't believe a show like Corrie would use CGI, even if they'd seen it in movies.

ReplyDeleteCorrie has used CGI in the past, notably for the tram crash.

DeleteSo now they fit him with a prosthetic foot/lower leg and we are done with this PSA.
