Spoiler Pics: Corrie lads drag up for Connor stag night

It's Aidan and Johnny Connor's stag do next week in Coronation Street and as we can see by the preview pictures, the lads drag up for a wild night in the, er, bistro.

It's been a long time since we had fellas dragged up in Coronation Street. I love the picture below with Richard Hawley as Johnny Connor looking like he's enjoying himself a lot as Shayne Ward as Aidan Connor minces about in the background.

And is that Kirk in the long blonde wig and short flouncy dress?

Men in drag is a comedy stable and Coronation Street is no stranger to using this to its best. We've had stag nights in the Rovers before. Remember when Norris was dragged up as Eartha Kitt and Kev and the lads dragged up on the karaoke? Have a look at some old pictures here.

And here's another Corrie fella in drag, when Jack Duckworth dragged up as Ida Fagg to join the ladies' bowls team. Watch him on youtube here.

Corrie's had real-life drag queens on screen too. And did you know that the grandson of Bernard Youens, who played Corrie's Stanley Ogden - is an award-winning drag artist in Spain?

Can anyone recall any more Corrie fellas dressed in drag through the years?

  1. I remember a drag night in the Rovers, Duggie had balloons that both popped by the end of the night, he was dressed as Dolly Parton, https://coronationstreetupdates.blogspot.ca/2010/08/duggie-in-drag.html it was the same night as Eartha Kitt, I think. The garage lads were done up like a girl singing group as well.

  4. What is it with men and drag? It's really not funny. Such old, Benny Hill kind of humor....very dated.
