These pictures show a radiant Mary in a wedding dress as she stands outside the church, joined by the likes of Tracy Barlow and her long lost son Jude Appleton.
Mary will be delighted to have her son by her side as she prepares to marry Norris, but given that there has been no on-screen mention of her plans to commit to Norris so far, fans will have to stay tuned to see how this latest development comes about.
What do you reckon to Mary and Norris getting married? I wonder what Rita will say!

If they keep Sean on as a lodger, maybe we'll finally get to see domestic life chez Cole. Other than that, Nay. She's in her late 40s, he's pushing 70, they're at totally different places in their social lives. I would prefer they stay as and stories develop them as best friends.
ReplyDeleteWill Mary's Mom be in attendance?
ReplyDeleteIt would be great, a lovely funny couple.

ReplyDeletePlease NO! Mary is one of my favorite characters, and I would hate to see her tied down to a crusty old fusspot thirty years older than she is. Especially not now when she is starting to find herself and blossom--with better storylines and a larger group of friends more her own age (Erica, Tracy, Dev, Brian, Roy). Norris is from her one dimensional crazy Mary days--back when her infatuation with this crusty old geezer was funny yet representative of her
unbalanced nature. Even Dev would be better than NOrris, especially if Erica is dumping him.

ReplyDeleteMary might be getting married (if she's in a wedding dress) but Norris could easily be her best man/"matron"of honour. I say this hopefully!
I highly doubt Mary and Norris would get married, he's far too old for her. I'm guessing she'll get tied up with the Irish jewellery bloke, he's as batty as she is. As someone else said, probably her son getting married.
ReplyDeleteHer son is married
DeletePerhaps it's a marraige of companionship or maybe it will be a "jilted at the altar" situation where they decide they're better off as best friends after all. One can only hope.
ReplyDeleteWill it be because she's found herself magically impregnated? Seems to happen to many on this Street.
ReplyDeleteMagically impregnated? Uh-oh......where's Steve McDonald.....?!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter if her son is married - maybe he and his wife will re-take their vows so that Mary can be there. Look outside the box!
ReplyDeleteCould Norris be giving her away?
ReplyDeleteI'd have expected Norris to be wearing a tie if he's the groom.
ReplyDeleteI personally am very much looking forward to Mary and Noris getting married. These two are like 2 peas in a pod. A welcomed relief and break from the Bethany sex trafficking story.

ReplyDeleteMaybe it's Sarah and Gary who are getting hitched and Mary and Norris are part of the wedding party due to their part in helping Bethany tell her story
