Brooke Vincent to star in stage play with Ruth Madoc

We know already that Brooke Vincent will be taking a break from Coronation Street later this year in a stage play.  You can read more on that here.

Brooke will be joining Ruth Madoc in the tour of a play called Be My Baby.  Brooke's debut stage role alongside Ruth Madoc (Hi De Hi) will be in this poignant comedy which examines the human need for friendship and the naivety of the 1960’s.

It’s 1964. Nineteen year old Mary Adams is sent away to a mother and baby convent to give birth to her illegitimate child shame free, with only a record player for company. Set against the backdrop of iconic girl groups and vocalists like The Ronettes, The Shangri-Las and Dusty Springfield, Mary - along with fellow residents Queenie, Dolores and Norma - must come to terms with their pregnancies, their lives and the fact they may never see their children again.

The tour takes in The Lowry, Salford in October. Buy tickets here.
