There's a good interview in the current issue of TV Times Magazine with Shayne Ward, who plays Aidan Connor in Coronation Street.
Shayne talks about how scared he was joining Corrie and then going on to win Best Newcomer Award at the National Television Awards earlier this year.
He says that he was worried a bit about how the public would perceive him when he first joined the Street. "Now I'm on set, I feel I really am Aidan, which is weird."
And speaking about Aidan's current storyline with Eva, he says: "Eva is trying to help Marta out and as a result, risks upsetting the O'Driscolls, who have just placed a huge order with the factory. Eva is risking their relationship with the biggest client they have got, so Aidan will have to make some real choices."

Reminds me of that Keith Chegwin scene in Extras where he doesn't know if he's Keith or the character because he's not an actor.
ReplyDeleteShayne is absolutely adorable and fits in quite nicely with our Corrie family, I feel... I hope the writers keep he and Eva together...they are a cute couple!
