Anyone know how much longer this Triangle of Tiresomeness - Neil, Lloyd and Andrea is dragging on for? Dont give a jot about any of em.
ReplyDeleteBored rigid, too, Frosty. I'm hoping that Craig Charles goes off on a break before Red Dwarf filming in October. That could mean an 'explosive' story at Christmas, resulting in Lloyd and Andrea doing a midnight flit to be rid of Neil. Long time to wait ...
ReplyDeleteGuys,I think it's a tie between the Tiresome Triangle[Is Lloyd that desperate?]or Kylie's addiction to her son's medication as tedious storylines right now.I bet somehow Gail will blame David for that too!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree -- Lloyd/Andrea/Neil thing is again another reformulation of Lloyd being involved with a woman who is already not right and not "free" like stripper Cheryl with the sick husband whom she eventually falls back in love with and leaves. This again is a pointless romance from the get go...
ReplyDeleteAnd as for Kylie being overwhelmed -- well, when wasn't she overwhelmed by one thing or another... drank too much, danced on top of a restaurant table, got fired at work... ho hum.. and more ho hum...
It's not so much that the plot themes are repeated but do they have to be soooooooo boring such that you don't care about the outcome? At least give us, show us a bit more as to why Andrea is so intent on leaving and why such a sad sack husband of hers who didn't even know his wife's dissatisfaction (first WHY did't he notice?) is so intent on keeping her rather than bowing out... we still don't know much about either of them or their relationship to understand or care why one party is spending all this eneergy and time to try and revive supposedly a dead relationship. The writers right now seem only to be able to write the most basic storylines involving arguments and strutting back and forth across the Cobbles, revealing nothing or very little insights into the characters or their motivations...
Where have all the genuine story writers gone???
