What do you think about Tyrone taking a fancy to having some pigeons at No. 9 Coronation Street when Fiz moves in?
I think it's a lovely nod, not just to the past and to Jack Duckworth, but to a tradition on Coronation Street that we didn't even know had been missing until Beyonce turned up last week.
So, what do you think? Should Tyrone get some pigeons - yay or nay?

Yes Yeas and Yess!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, if only to frighten of those bloomin' meerkats and the following characters:
ReplyDeleteSlimy Tim
Irritating Sophie
Hard-faced Eva
I would have to say a nay to that - don't make Tyrone old before his time!
ReplyDeleteNot while he has two small children and a tiny back yard . Surely that'd b a health hazard ?
ReplyDeleteTyrone and all the under-30's in Corrie are young fogies - apart from Ryan who is seen as a bad'un. We know Fiz will give in eventually and Tyrone needs someone to chat to when Tommy's gone!
ReplyDeleteNay! Tyrone is Tyrone, not "Jack Lite"
ReplyDeleteNo never they are messy and not with kids.
ReplyDeleteBesides why try to make him like Jack that was his thing not Tyrone's.
No. It was sweet they way he was talking about Jack but it would somehow be disrespectful IMO. Jack was one of a kind.
ReplyDeleteNay. It was cute for him to save a bird and share memories of Jack. But ... he has Fizz and two small children and a full time job. There is no need for pigeons!
ReplyDeleteNo pet of mine would be named Beyonce...
ReplyDeleteI say nay. But what a sweet thing to show~ it was a nice, gentle bit of nostalgia for sure.
ReplyDeleteWell I would say YAY as it gives the gormless one a hobby but NAY if I were their neighbour with them pooping everywhere.
ReplyDeleteWhat did Jay-Z call Beyonce before he married her?
ReplyDeleteFeyonce!
Sorry - Yes to the pigeons! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXp455mQ4xE
I'd prefer he had some chickens, a bit of self sufficiency on Coronation Street wouldn't go amiss!
ReplyDeleteNo to that. I agree, that was Jack and it was a nice bit of nostalgia.

ReplyDeleteYay. Give the poor lad something to talk to that will actually listen and not be all balled up with a brother and whining Windass sister in law. Give Tyrone something to look forward to at night - pigeon droppings got to be better than grease or baby poo. xo
ReplyDeleteYey Yey and thrice yey. They can then do a ridiculous Pigeon pie story, akin to the ridiculous Turkey stories they do at Xmas.
ReplyDeletethrice yey and pigeon pie.. yes.. ridiculous it would be.
